Motorrad-Diebe in Prilly gefasst: Dramatische Verfolgungsjagd!
In a dramatic turn of events on September 24, 2025, three masked individuals were apprehended after a daring motorcycle theft in Prilly. A vigilant witness alerted the Vaud Police around 3:20 AM after hearing suspicious noises in an underground garage. Upon arrival, officers discovered the thieves had fled, but a swift joint operation among local police led to their swift capture on the highway toward Geneva.
The stolen vehicle, loaded with two motorcycles, was spotted on the highway, where the suspects engaged in a high-speed chase, ignoring police orders to stop. The vehicle ultimately came to a halt after police deployed a spike strip, deflating the tires. The group included a 16-year-old from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and two French nationals aged 17 and 18. The driver—still a minor—was found to have no valid driver’s license, and the vehicle was reported stolen. During the intense intervention, a Geneva police officer sustained minor injuries. Investigations are currently underway, spearheaded by the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Juvenile Court.
