The violence began at 9:20 PM, prompting an immediate response from local police who struggled to maintain order amid projectile attacks and firework assaults. A municipal police unit was deployed, reinforced by the Vaud cantonal police, to quell the unrest.
By 1:00 AM, order was restored thanks to the efforts of over 60 law enforcement officials who employed rubber projectiles and tear gas to disperse the rioters. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported among either the protesters or police. However, significant property damage occurred, including an attack on a public transport bus. The Tramway Company has announced plans to file a criminal complaint for the damage caused. Investigations are underway to identify the culprits involved in this night of violence, with authorities urging local youth to respect public peace.
